Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Paper Planes Media Inc. ("Paper Planes," "we," "us," or "our") for your use of the Paper Planes iOS app, share extension, backend services, saved analysis history, discussion features, and related support services (the "Services").

By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility and U.S. Availability

The Services are intended for users in the United States who are at least 18 years old. You may not use the Services if you are barred from doing so by applicable law, if you are under 18, or if you cannot form a binding agreement with us.

The Services

Paper Planes lets you share links, text, audio, and other supported content into the app or share extension to create AI-assisted analysis, search-backed context, transcription, action cards, saved history, and discussions with other users. Some features require an account, phone verification, app permissions, third-party AI/search processing, or a paid Premium subscription.

The Services may change over time. We may add, remove, limit, suspend, or modify features to improve the product, comply with law, protect users, or manage abuse and service costs.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your device and account credentials secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access.

Paper Planes may use Sign in with Apple for authentication. Some discussion features may require phone-number verification or contact matching. You may not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade enforcement, or use another user's account without permission.

Privacy and Consent

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and delete information. The Services require certain data processing to function. New AI analysis and transcription require third-party AI/search data sharing permission. If you decline or withdraw that permission, analysis and transcription will be unavailable until you enable it again.

Free Use and Premium Subscriptions

Paper Planes includes limited free use and one paid Premium tier.

Free users currently receive 5 lifetime analyses. After the free analysis allowance is used, free users may still save supported shared content for discussion where available, but additional analysis and audio transcription require Premium.

Paper Planes Premium currently includes:

• 100 standard analyses per month;
• 25 deep analysis cards per month;
• audio transcription up to 5 hours per month.

These are product-facing limits. We may use internal safeguards to prevent abuse, handle retries, or protect service reliability. Unused monthly allowances do not roll over.

Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system. Current U.S. pricing is $14.99 per month for the monthly plan and $119.99 per year for the annual plan, plus any applicable taxes and subject to Apple storefront pricing. The annual plan may be marketed as about 4 months free compared with monthly pricing. Prices, taxes, promotional offers, and availability may vary by App Store storefront and may change as permitted by Apple and applicable law.

Your Apple Account is charged by Apple at purchase confirmation. Apple manages billing, renewals, cancellation, refunds, family sharing where applicable, and payment issues. Paper Planes receives subscription entitlement information but does not receive your full payment card details.

Unless canceled, Premium renews automatically according to the terms shown by Apple at purchase. Monthly Premium renews monthly, and annual Premium renews yearly. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Apple subscriptions settings. Cancellation stops future renewal but normally does not remove Premium access until the current paid period ends. Deleting your Paper Planes account does not cancel an Apple subscription. If you do not want billing to continue, cancel the subscription through Apple before deleting your account.

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple through Apple's refund process. Paper Planes does not guarantee refunds except where required by applicable law or Apple policy.

We do not currently offer a free trial unless one is expressly shown in the app or by Apple at purchase.

User Content

"User Content" means content you submit, share, save, upload, discuss, or otherwise provide through the Services, including URLs, text, audio, transcripts, messages, reactions, reports, names, and discussion content.

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Paper Planes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, process, analyze, transform, moderate, and create outputs from your User Content only as needed to operate, provide, improve, secure, and enforce the Services and these Terms.

You are responsible for your User Content and for having the rights needed to submit it. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, illegal, infringing, or private information unless you have the right to do so and want it processed for the requested feature.

AI Outputs and Third-Party Information

Paper Planes uses AI, search, transcription, map, commerce, and other third-party providers. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, outdated, or not suitable for your situation. Search results, financial context, product information, prices, availability, public-opinion summaries, location information, and citations may change or be wrong.

Outputs are for informational and convenience purposes only. They are not legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, safety, or other professional advice. You are responsible for independently verifying outputs before relying on them or taking action.

Discussions, Safety, and Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

• violate law or another person's rights;
• harass, threaten, bully, defame, exploit, or harm others;
• post hateful, abusive, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content;
• share another person's private information without permission;
• infringe intellectual property rights;
• distribute spam, scams, malware, or deceptive content;
• manipulate, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the Services;
• bypass paywalls, usage limits, security controls, moderation, or access restrictions;
• create false accounts, impersonate others, or evade enforcement;
• use outputs to make high-stakes decisions without appropriate professional review.

Paper Planes may use technical, human, and user-reporting tools to filter, review, remove, restrict, or preserve content; block or restrict users; respond to safety concerns; and enforce these Terms. We do not promise to monitor all content. You can report objectionable content or abusive users through available in-app tools or by contacting us. We review reports and safety concerns within a reasonable time and may take action based on the nature and urgency of the issue.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may interact with or link to third-party services, including Apple, AI providers, search providers, transcription providers, maps, commerce sites, payment systems, websites, and external apps. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, terms, privacy practices, prices, availability, or actions.

If Paper Planes displays commerce links, including Amazon or other affiliate-supported links, we may receive referral or affiliate credit if you make a qualifying purchase. Third-party purchases are between you and the seller or platform.

Intellectual Property

Paper Planes and its software, designs, trademarks, logos, text, visual elements, and other materials are owned by Paper Planes or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights in the Services.

You may provide feedback or suggestions. You grant us the right to use feedback without restriction or compensation.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content in the Services infringes your copyright, contact us at [email protected] with enough information for us to evaluate the request, including the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing content, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.

Account Deletion, Suspension, and Termination

You may delete your Paper Planes account in the app. Account deletion removes or anonymizes account data as described in the Privacy Policy. Previous discussion messages and related activity may remain visible to other participants as "Deleted user." Apple subscriptions are managed separately and must be canceled through Apple if you do not want billing to continue.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, misused the Services, or if we discontinue the Services.

App Store Terms

If you downloaded Paper Planes from the Apple App Store, we grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's terms. Apple is not responsible for the Services, support, claims, or content except as required by applicable law and Apple's own terms. Your use of the app must also comply with Apple's App Store terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms to the extent required for apps distributed through the App Store.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paper Planes disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate or useful. You use the Services at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paper Planes and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, device failure, or the cost of substitute services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paper Planes' total liability for all claims relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Paper Planes through Apple for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose or (b) $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paper Planes and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, and licensors from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your User Content, your use or misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or another person's rights.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent U.S. federal law or mandatory consumer-protection laws require otherwise.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either party may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

To the extent permitted by law, you and Paper Planes each waive the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, private attorney general action, or other representative proceeding for disputes relating to the Services or these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by updating the date above, posting the revised Terms, or notifying you in the app. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
